Dailies

4 am - Dog is crying, get up put him back to bed.

6 am - Wake up and know I have stuff to do.

6:30 am - I lay there thinking about it for a while and finally when I can't add any more to my mental 'todo' list I get up.

6:30:15 am - Check my e-mail from my mobile phone. Seriously, seconds after rolling out of bed I've unplugged the phone from the charger and scrolled to 'send & receive.'*

6:35 am - Feed the cats and dog, and make myself some breakfast. Total Rasien Bran is the usual, but I've been digging Berry Burst Cheerios lately too.

6:40 am - Eat breakfast while I'm reading my e-mail on my phone (ie deleating spam). *

7:00 am - Shower, get dressed, get ready.

7:15 am - If I bothered to set it up the night before, the coffee machine kicks in and dishes out some deliscious java. Now, don't get me wrong, fresh ground and all that is a million times better, I just don't have the time to deal with that first thing in the morning. Besides, this cup is really only a hold over for...

7:30 am - Head out to the coffee shop to make use of the free internet, and their real coffee. Check e-mail, drink coffee. * **

8:00 am - 10:00 am - See what real mail got caught in my spam filters, see who commented on my blog, scan RSS feeds to see who posted what to their blog, read some, open e-mail and see what's going down, scan blogs, write, and IM for a few hours. Check e-mail, drink coffee.

10:00 am - Head home to get Caryn.

10:30 am - Make her breakfast, and tea, and a little more for myself. Make lunch. Check e-mail, drink coffee.

11:00 am - Head out to the gallery.

11:30 am - Get to the gallery and repeat earlier internet stuff
12:00 pm - 6:00pm - open gallery to public, and get to work. Depending on the current deadline, it's a mix of gallery & freelance stuff, broken uo by talking to people who come in, and getting back to work. Sometime around 3 we eat lunch, usually. Lots of checking e-mail, and drinking coffee (ok, not really, vitamin water).

6:00 pm - Lock the doors but know traffic is too hellish to attempt to go home and hang out for a while, doing much of the same stuff as the morning. Blogs, IRC, etc...

7:00 pm - Decide the traffic has died down enough to go home.

7:30 pm - Rather than going home, head straight for the dog park and let Lebowski run arround like a psycho for a few minutes. Actually, the earlier we leave the gallery, the longer we're at the dog park. Check e-mail.

8:00 pm - Swing by the DVD rental place and grab something for the evening.

8:30 pm - Get home and feed the cats and dog. Start making dinner, 9 times out of 10 it's Pasta. Ummm-um!

8:45 pm - Finallly make it to the couch. Plate of food to eat, movie playing, laptop or mobile phone right next to me for note taking, e-mail checking, and casual working.

10:30 pm - Movie is over, now I have unfinished work to do, unread RSS feeds, and dirty dishes to wash.

11:30 pm - Decide enough is enough and go to bed.

* A few days more than a year without a home internet connection, we're finally getting DSL hooked up and it should be running mid next week. The only effect this will have for you is more crap posted here earlier in the day, and late at night, for me it will mean no rushing out to the coffee shop, and more time to make the good stuff in the morning. The twist on this is we also killed most all of our home phone services, no more voicemail, etc. with the rationale that anyone who needs to reach us has our mobile numbers.

** A variation on this is sometimes I just say screw the net connection, grab the dog and head back into bed to curl up with Caryn and spend the morning that way. On these mornings, skip ahead right to 10:30 am...

Sean's life isn't boring...it's just excitementally challenged.

Better than being excrementally challenged. But I think that's cuz he gets plenty of fiber.

Sean Bonner has been annoying people on the internet since 1994. Currently he lives in Los Angeles and is the co-founder of Metroblogging. Despite growing up in Bradenton, Yahoo! thinks he's the most important "Sean" on the internets. He's sick of labels. This was his blog until sometime in 2007 when it broke.
