I locked myself out of my car in madison WI about 2 years ago, and the guy who came to help me had one of theose old brick phones he was still using. It was so frickin' amazing to me that it made me happy again.
I remember laughing at the "X-Files" episode "Unusual Suspects" (fifth season), specifically when Fox Mulder was talking on a similar brick of a cell phone.
As for me, I've been collecting videogame systems and videogames. Fun stuff, particularly when you find gems like a Vectrex that's brand new and still in-the-box. ^_^

Good stuff! My dad still uses a bag phone, circa 1994. This thing weighs about 10 pounds total, and the phone itself is still brick-sized. He must have bought one of the first non-auto cell phones ever made; of course, he's not exactly cutting edge, so he probably bought the last phone is a discontinued product line 3 years after the 1st one came out. Contact me if you're interested in this piece of living history.

I have two or three of these with chargers, batteries and even a car cord. Where do you want them sent?

i have a similar interest in these phones. I plan to gut one of these and insert a modern, tiny GSM phone, wired to the keypad/speakers.

Has any one gutted the brick and installed modern mobile phone parts. If so how is it done.
