Baath Torture

Michael J Totten points out this video (WMV) that is supposed to be a clip of some guys getting tortured at the hands of the Baath Party. I say supposed to be, because I can't read Arabic so I don't know what it says, but I'd trust MJT. It's pretty rough, basically it's a bunch of dudes getting their asses kicked by a bunch of other dudes using canes, and sticks, and clubs, and other wipping like things. That page has a link to "New Baath Party Tourture Techniques" which is a bunch of crudely drawn illustrations of drills going through people hands and other fun things like that.

Hi Sean,

There's more gruesome stuff at that link than just the beating. You really might not want to watch it, but if you click into the main site from the link there's also a video of an execution by hand-grendade. Also drawings (I assume for training purposes, but I really don't know) of how to torture people, including the slicing of eyeballs, crucifixion, drilling into the hands, and running a hot iron over the chest. It's grim stuff. Viewer discretion advised.
