BLOGON: Thursday Night
So we got in just in time to hear that Jay Allen won some kind of Moveable Type award which is pretty cool, the room was *very* hot and packed so pretty quickly I ducked out side and tried to listen in through the open doors. It's pretty amazing how many people I recognize here, or at least recognize their names. Being that it's a pretty small crowd, it looks like there's a high percentage of people who are "doing something." It's always nice to meet people in person who you've talked with online for a while, as well as connect with people you have met before but never see since they live in some other corner of the world. I'm actually staying at the place where the event's today took place, which is about a block from where the ones tomorrow will be I think. There's a grip of wifi in the lobby, looks like about 3-4 access points but the signal is too weak in the room to actually do anything - so yeah, I'm hanging out in the lobby. Tomorrow promises to be action packed (or something) so I'll report back at some point in the AM.
Now I'm off to read the 145 e-mails and 1200+ rss stories that have piled up during the day.
