Kerry is Uninspiring
"Kerry can't get any traction in this campaign because he is, as Kevin Phillips aplty put it, "a haircut in search of a brain." He doesn't have any more "vision" than Bush 41 or Bush 43. ... His position about the war against Islamic fundamentalism is incomprehensible. For all I know he distinguished himself in Vietnam, but he's mentally AWOL in the 2004 campaign for the White House. Am I supposed to vote for him just because he isn't Bush? As a registered Democrat, that's not good enough for me."
That's a Jim Kuntsler quote I just found on Ernie's site and it's very solid. He says the Stem Cell issue is keeping his vote away from Bush, and I've got a that on my list as well but almost no one I know is excitied about Kerry. Long term tried and true Dems can only tell me how Kerry isn't Bush. God fobid the guy have some merits on his own. This is really depressing. I'm still in the "anyone but Bush" camp, but putting in a vote for Kerry is only going to make me slightly less sick to my stomach.

He's a stopgap is all. Get us the fuck out of the war and the Bush hell we're in and find someone with a brain. He's going to be on the Daily Show tonight so we'll see if he's more than a block of wood.
