Bloggers Without Borders 2.0 / SIS
A while ago my friend who is a teacher in Seoul, Korea IM'd me asking if I knew any solutions for blogging behind filters? He said the school he works at is trying to use blogs with it's students but all hosted options were being blocked by filters out side of there control. Lucikly, this is just the thing we were working on with Bloggers Without Borders - Here's the news from Jonas Luster:
"Today we released Version 2.0 of Bloggers Without Borders. The Seoul International School website has been upgraded and runs on a more stable core, now, including a new set of DNS rules that make it even harder to block students from weblogging:
And just in case anyone wonders, why Sean and I are spending time, effort, and money on this, here’s a blog entry from a 5th grade student in Seoul:
"I am really glad that we can write in blogs. I want to say thank-you to Mr.Clifton, Sean, and
Jonas.. What my first immpression to writing in a blog was very exciting…I don’t know why
the Korean Government blocked the logs so that we can’t write in them…"
Good job, SB!
