AOL buys Weblogs Inc

I've got first hand confirmation that this is legit. No numbers but there should be an official announcement tomorrow about it. While I'm psyched for Jason, Brian and Peter this is also super good news for anyone else producing content. All the major buys recently have been apps and services, so someone throwing down real money for content is a whole new game.

More: from Reuters (who is saying $25 Mil), a roundup of other coverage and outling some points of the deal. - AND check out the spiffy new WIN front page. [weblogs+inc | AOL]

This is a single entry on a blog written by me, Sean Bonner. Please feel free to look around or even join in whatever conversation might be going on. Or don't. See if I care.

Sean Bonner has been annoying people on the internet since 1994. Currently he lives in Los Angeles and is the co-founder of Metroblogging. Despite growing up in Bradenton, Yahoo! thinks he's the most important "Sean" on the internets. He's sick of labels. This was his blog until sometime in 2007 when it broke. Check out seanbonner.com for current stuff.
