Google Maps is the #3 return on a Google search for "maps"

I just think this goes to show the honesty of Google's algorithm. Clearly they are not doing anything to improve their result here. It makes me happy that not even Google own pages get preferential treatment in Google search results. Posted by: Grant on January 23, 2006 06:16 PM

Even in google's new data center "bigdaddy" the result has not shifted, but it's just a matter of time I think till the sites backlinks build and close the gap to #1 Posted by: Bell River on January 30, 2006 04:48 AM
All's only fair if they don't alter results to googles own advantage. I noticed that in a serp that I pulled up that they Google did have an AdWord advert for their http://www.google.com/glm/ Posted by: SEO Dude on January 30, 2006 04:54 AM
