NRA Graphic Novel a Hoax

That image, aside from being my new desktop image, is from what Wonkette reported to be a yet unreleased NRA graphic novel, but turns out it's all a hoax. I gotta say I'm loving the terrorist owl. UPDATE: Or not, it might still be legit. Ken @ Wonkette has sent the full PDF and Xeni has contacted the NRA for a comment. Guess this is still being played out... FWIW I took quite a beating most of the day defending Wonkette and arguing that the images were legit. As you can see in that link several people claimed there would be a mass exodus from the NRA if they turned out to be real - this is going to be interesting no matter how it turns out. Either it's a very, very elaborate fake or there is going to be some Christmas Crow on the dinner menu.
UPDATE: The NRA still hasn't responded but with the cover of next months NRA Magazine coming to light this seems pretty confirmed. Follow up posts about this can be found on Wonkette, BoingBoing, DailyKoz, and Raw Story as well as continuing discussions on CACCW (one, two). As has been said by many folks during this whole thing, this is another example of the NRA really blowing it on the public relations front - this might be a good fund raiser for them but it builds more walls than it tears down and certainly isn't going to convince anyone sitting on the fence to join their side. And it's even scaring some members away, from the DailyKoz post "Suffice it to say that this is far enough over the top that I will be leaving the NRA. "

Merry Christmas!
It's funny that only cooked lobsters are actually red in colour. And it's been my experience that they don't do a whole lot of crawling.
(Yes, I ignored the owl carrying dynamite and fixated on the lobster.)
