Dan O'Mahony Where Are You?

Today was a fun day. I've been chewing on a lot of things since I got back from Japan, much of which crystalized this afternoon in a very big, very clear "Oh, yeah, I guess that is exactly how I've been approaching all of this" kind of way. It's not enough to know you do things, it's finding out why you do them that sometimes is the major kicker. This is all a process, somedays are little steps, today was a bigger one.

I got a first edition copy of 'Fight Club' in the mail today, and when I was putting it on my shelf I saw Dan's books, which I hadn't opened in a while. I started flipping through them, and ended up listening to Four One One. Fucking hell, I think everything I ever learned about ignoring the bullshit, being brutally honest with yourself and trying to find out what is really going on inside your own head I learned from this guy. I need to reread these books and listen to more of his music, more often. Dan, where are you?

Sean Bonner has been annoying people on the internet since 1994. Currently he lives in Los Angeles and is the co-founder of Metroblogging. Despite growing up in Bradenton, Yahoo! thinks he's the most important "Sean" on the internets. He's sick of labels. This was his blog until sometime in 2007 when it broke. Check out seanbonner.com for current stuff.
