09/25/2002 Entry: "There are more of us here than you think"
I'm sending this letter to my Representative, my Senator, and the man I reluctantly call the President. If you have been slow to sit down and write, wondering just what to say, PLEASE copy it and send it to your representatives at addresses that can be found at www.congress.org. It's that easy, and it does make a difference.
"You are my representative. Please be certain that I do not support military intervention of any kind in Iraq. Represent me. Count me among the opposition. Demonstrate courage, if that's what it takes, to oppose this war that many of us do not want. The US should follow the U.N. Rulling, if we do not abide by international law, why should anyone else. We are watching you. Do not be misled, there are more of out here than you might think, and we vote. Do not fail to represent us."
Also, here is a very informative flyer that you can print & pass out to anyone and everyone.
Replies: 2 people with an opinion
That's fine, you can unsubscribe if you want. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. I just feel that if we are fighting a "war on terror" specifically aimed at the people who attacked us, we should be going after them. To this day, INCLUDING Tony Blair's recently released documents that can show any connection whatsoever to Iraq. Nothing. Not even ONE of the hijackers was Iraqi, So why are we waiting our time with them? If there is proof, it needs to be shown. Attacking a country, regardless of how bad everyone might feel they are, without them attacking us is a violation of international law, law WE, the US, helped write. Doing something like that is only going to piss off a lot of people who will suddenly have a newfound reason to try something 9/11 again.
In NO WAY do I think the people responsible for 9/11 should go unpunished, They should die the worst deaths imaginable. There's just nothing pointing to Iraq as one of those people.
And since you asked, yes I knew several people who died in those attacks.

because of this email I need to be taken off your list.
are you crazy? don't you think there should be any
consequence for the attacks that have happened? don't
you think there should be any consequence to the people
that help our attackers?
did you know anyone working in the pentagon or the world
trade center? I worked in WTC one and let me tell you it
was hell erupting right there before my eyes.
if the acts go unpunished and the people who support
and help those responsible for such atrocities go unpunished
then we become a target for more and more and more and
wouldn't it be horrible if next time it was a building
you had to run from with the taste of death on your tongue?
