04/14/2003 Entry: "seriously the worst movie ever"

Not that I was trying to find it, but I've now seen the worst movie ever made. It's called Ghost Ship, and there are a bunch of people in it, all of whom have NO personality. Nothing. It's kind of weird at first how they're all just there and no one says anything except, "are you in?" or "let's go" or "get out of here." Things like that. One of my favorites was this one dude who's talking to his sea friends about doing their recon mission and he supposedly has known these people forever and one dude is like "are you in?" and he's all "I have a fiance to get back to, remember?" What? Should we care about him now? Later, fiance dude waves her picture around right before he tries to mack all over some dead Italian girl. Every line in the movie is delivered with as little emotion as possible. It's like the actors were competing to see who could act the most like a wall. A horrible sucking boring emotionless wall.

Okay, I know what you're thinking. Sure, the acting, directing and writing all sucks, but what about the special effects? Well, first off, they're out in the middle of the ocean at night with perfect lighting. Their faces are perfectly lit from the front as they look outside, into the middle of the ocean night. I've never been to the middle of the ocean, but my guess is that it's pitch black, and even if you have headlights on your boat and maybe a flashlight, you'll still have some trouble getting that "complete wash of light" feel.

I'm just going to end this here. I feel exhausted thinking of how much more I could write about the overwhelming suck of this movie, like when you have a twenty page paper to write and you've written a bunch, so you go back to see how much you have and it's only six pages.

Speaking of crappy movies......I haven't seen "Ghost Ship" (i don't plant either), but the worst movie EVER, has to be "Pitch Black". The most unlikely story with the worst actor ever Vin "I look like a giant penis" Diesel. Spare yourself the suspense and never watch the retarded movie.
